FreeBSD 9.1 – portupgrade error

Doing some day to day updates on a FreeBSD box today, and suddenly when trying to upgrade the portupgrade pkg it kind of went wrong. Checked all dependencies and everything seems to be correct. The “portupgrade-devel-*” is not installed, so after googling for an hour I gave up. But one last absurd check, let’s create the file that the build is complaing about… a quick #touch /usr/local/libdata/ldconfig/portupgrade and a `make install from the /usr/ports/ports-mgmt/portupgrade directory, and it worked as a charm… not sure why, but everything is now back to normal…btw, if you get a warning that says something like this “pkg_add: package ‘portupgrade-2.4.11.2,2’ or its older version already installed” you have do deinstall portupgrade, touch the file and install it again.
