Checkpoint – NMSETH0029 xxx conflicts with destination network of yyy

You find all kind of strange things running a checkpoint in a devops environment, where changes happens on the fly and you wanna try out new stuff everyday. I’ve had some issues with my ISP lately, where they change my bridge mode and I ended up getting a RFC1918 address on my WAN link.  That was my first clue. But adding a new network to my checkpoint I was getting a strange error: NMSETH0029  192.168.0.2/24 conflicts with destination network of bond1.3075.

Bond1.3075 is my Wan interface, and 192.168.0.0/24 is the new network, with at the moment do NOT exist. as you can see from my routing table;

This makes no sense, and I’ve check my output from clish , show configuration… From other bugs/projects I remember when nothing makes sense, there is probably a database somewhere. So after googling i found the /config/db/initial  which is the gaia db configuration file. There I found evidence of my previous assumptions. Somehow Gaia has collected the RFC1918 IP address I got from my ISP when the modem was not in bridge mode.

By removing the two line, run a dbset :save  and reboot, everything looks good and I can add my new network again.
